VIII International Conservation Conference entitled: Problems of museums related to the preservation and conservation of collections, Szreniawa October 10-12, 2018

The 8th International Conservation Conference Problems of Museums with Preservation and Conservation of Collections was held on 10-12 October 2018 with the support of the National Institute for Museums and Public Collections. The sessions focused on the following themes:

1. Conservation organisation and management in museums.

2. Conservation issues related to objects made of organic matter.

3. Conservation issues related to objects exhibited in the open air.

4. The differences between static and dynamic exhibition of technical monuments.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to a study trip to the Wolsztyn Locomotive Depot and the Club of Old Tractor and Agricultural Machinery Lovers in Lipno, where presentations on the conservation and maintenance of technical monuments were held. The participants of the study trip visited also the Distillery Museum in Turwia.
